About American Kids Sports Month

American Kids Sports Month is Sponsored by the National Children's Advocacy Center and it coincides with International Children’s Awareness Month and the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. The objective of the month is to get kids outside and playing, trying new sports, playing new games and meeting new friends. Throughout the country various organizations and community groups sponsor events. Check with your local YMCA and recreation center for opportunities in your area.
