About National Vision Research Month

"Each June Prevent Blindness America sponsors Vision Research Month, a month dedicated to sight-saving research initiatives. Through raising awareness of the need for continued research into blindness due to age-related diseases including macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa. By raising awareness of the need for continuing research, this month seeks to to assist in providing researchers with the resources they need to help preserve vision.
