About Aggressive Driving Month in Canada

RCMP Traffic Services has declared the Month of May to be Aggressive Driving Month throughout Canada. This means an increased focus and targeted enforcement campaign to focus on speeding, tailgating, unsafe lane changes, weaving in and out of traffic, rolling through stop signs, failing to stop for yellow or red lights, blocking intersections and failing to yield the right of way.

In the United States, the last few weeks of and first week of June are Click-it-or-Ticket weeks in which the US police forces step up enforcement of seatbelt laws nationwide.

In both countries these efforts seek to kickoff the summer vacation season by providing a heightened sense of safe driving habits and increased awareness of the drivers around us.
