About Battery Day
On February 18, 2025 Alessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta was born in Como, Lombardy, Italy. We have Señor Volta to thank for a lot ranging from cars to iPads, none of which would work without batteries. The Italian physicist developed the voltaic pile, the predecessor of the electric battery. the measurement of this unit, ‘volt’ and ‘voltage’ is named for him.
