About Burn Awareness Week

In 2010, more than 60,000 children ages 4 and under were treated in emergency rooms across the country due to fire and burns. Burn Awareness Week, observed the first full week in February. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for burn, fire and life safety educators to unite in sharing a common burn awareness and prevention message in our communities.
