CHOCOLATE PARFAIT DAY, NTL.
About Chocolate Parfait Day
Chocolate Parfait Day is an unofficial, unsponsored food holiday in the United States that falls on the first of May each year. A Parfait can be made with either pudding or custard. Custards have eggs. Puddings do not. Custards are thickened by egg protein. Puddings are thickened by starch (tapioca, corn starch, etc.)
A parfait is a stacked dessert which can be made of cake, ice cream, fruits, nuts, candies, whipping cream and what ever else you want to stack in a tall glass. Today is a great day to experiment and enjoy a chocolate parfait.
