About the Anniversary of the Columbia Space Shuttle Disaster

For those of us alive in January 1986, this second Space Shuttle Disaster was not as shocking, but all the same as sad. This second disaster occurred at 8:59 AM EST over Texas and Louisiana when the Space Shuttle disintegrated re-entering the earths atmosphere. The astronauts killed were: Rick D. Husband, William C. McCool, Michael P. Anderson, Kalpana Chawla, David M. Brown, Laurel Clark and Ilan Ramon and were from the United States, Israel and India.
