About National Deaf Awareness Week in the United Kingdom

Deaf Awareness Week moved from the first Monday of May to the third Monday in May in 2014. It is a unique campaign in that so many different organizations participate, each able to promote their own work within the broad spectrum of deafness.

The aim this week is to promote the work of the member organizations through the Deaf Awareness Week website on which organizations can publicize their events in the DAW calendar.
