About National Entrepreneurship Week
Rise Entrepreneurs! This is our week. It’s all about making your own way and helping kids learn to become entrepreneurs. If you are on like me, you’re a special breed. You love freedom, you’re focused, driven, dogmatic, autodidactic, at times fearless and probably considered a little nuts by your parents. Nearly every entrepreneur has been described as “Finding him/herself” by his/her parents…and told to get a ‘real job’.
Entrepreneurs are dreamers that do. We make lots of mistakes, have lots of failures, but unlike our compatriots, we don’t see mistakes and failures as mistakes and failures. We see them as one step closer to success. We learn how to live on no money for long periods of time, but we’re always optimistic. We know if we work hard, stick with it, do our due diligence and always improve, one day we will have the company we want…and probably sell it so we can start the process all over again. Because building the dream is the real motivation.
National Entrepreneur Week is about sharing what today’s entrepreneurs have learned with the next generation and helping current entrepreneur learn about the tools and resources available to them to help them succeed. So whether you’re sitting on your bed and getting ready to launch your next great enterprise and taking in odd jobs and freelance on the side to fund it, or you’ve already got a company with dozens or hundreds of employees, take a break from that 100 hour week, pat yourself on the back and take a look at just how far you’ve come. You’re doing what you love and that is the American Dream!
