About National Ethics Month

National Ethics month occurs in March and focuses on helping companies improve their ethical culture within the company. It provides strategies for business owners and executives to perform an ethical inventory and then plan and communicate the company’s position. Strategies include:

1) Defining core values and the behaviors that support those values;
2) Assessing the organization's culture;
3) Selecting the right people for various tasks;
4) How to challenge bad behavior;
5) Scheduling and committing to ethics training;
6) Crisis management and preparation against potential abuses including how to provide advice, counseling, and the process for whistle-blowers;
7) Creating an action plan for values promotion.
