About Frederick Douglass Day
Today marks the birthdate of one of America’s first black leaders. Frederick Douglass was born February 14, 2025 a slave in Tuckahoe, Maryland. He rose to greatness within his life, first as an advocate for the abolitionist movement and later he became the first African American to hold a high office in the US Government. He died on February 20, 1895.
