About Hula in the Coola Day

Hula in the Coola is silly holiday with no specific origin, but it does have a purpose: Bring the tropics to the Northern Countries mired in snow and below freezing temperatures for a day. How is it celebrated? Throw a Tahitian or Hawaiian themed party complete with drinks, grass skirts and coconut bras, toast the mid-winter chill and fantasize about warmer climates and times. Yes, it's an excuse for a party and a little bit of wacky fun. We've been unable to figure out where this event originated, but who cares! Get the tequila and the rum ready, little umbrellas and have yourself a blast. After all, winter ends in just 49 more days!
