About National Kite Flying Day
National Kite Flying Day is an unofficial holiday in the United States. The kite is about 2,300 years old and was invented in China. The timing of National Kite Flying Day often coincides with the Hindu Basant Festival of Kites, which also happens usually in February. Of course it could also be that February and March are great kite flying months in the Northern Hemisphere too. Winter months tend to be windy.
