MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS MONTH, INTL.
About International Multiple Sclerosis Month
International Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month is sponsored by the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF) to raise awareness of the condition. The goals are to promote an understanding of the scope of this disease, and to assist those with MS in making educated decisions about their healthcare.
Multiple sclerosis is a progressive, degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, including the brain, optic nerve and spinal cord. MS symptoms occur when the connections between the brain and the body’s nerves are damaged.
There is also a Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month in the US each March.
