About Read an Ebook Month

In 2014 Read an E-book Week became Read an E-book Month. The purpose of this month is to encourage people to read ebooks and discover what is available. With the explosion of tablets, ebooks have risen in popularity over the past 15 years. They’ve been around since the beginning of the internet, first published as Word Documents and PDFs. Today e-books require programming skills to lay them out on the multiple different platforms available. Apple requires one format. Kindle another and Nook yet another. The platform is still evolving, but what is clear is that e-books are here to stay.
