About National Sauce Month

March is National Sauce Month. This is an unofficial observance month that celebrates what is poured onto food or what food is dipped in. Basically there are eight types of sauces:

Brown sauces
Emulsified sauces
Sauce béarnaise
Green sauces
Hot sauces
Sauces made of chopped fresh ingredients
Sweet sauces
White sauces

If you’re not sure what one of these eight types of sauces is, this is a great month to find out.
