About School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February. School counselors deal with many issues from bullying to planning for college. For many children they are the only adult they can trust and a safe haven from a dangerous environment. This is a week to honor their work and educate the public and students about the role student counselors play.
