About Therapeutic Recreation Month in Canada
This event became a monthly event in 2014. Previously known as Therapeutic Recreation Week in Canada it focuses on the activities of recreational therapists and the work they do to help people live fulfilling lives. Recreational therapists develop conduct therapy sessions to improve patients' mental and physical well-being, design recreation programs and coordinate volunteer services and paid entertainment. They can be found in hospitals, government institutions, nursing homes and other places that assist people.
