Today's Featured Event is Wear Red for Heart Disease Day
Created by the National Institute of Health in 2002, National Wear Red Day occurs on the first Friday of February each year. It is a day women are urged to wear the color red to raise awareness and as a reminder of the dangers of heart disease and what they can do to prevent it.

Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States Events tied with this day include The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2013 Fashion Show, and Road Show.

National Wear Red Day promotes the symbol and provides an opportunity for everyone—men and women alike—to unite in this life-saving awareness-to-action movement by wearing anything and everything red.
