All of February is Heart Research Month in Australia with Heart Research Day designated as February 14. The purpose of both is to raise awareness about the devastating impact of heart disease and the need for ongoing research.
Heart Research Australia's focus is to obtain funding for pioneering, first-stage research to find breakthroughs for treating heart disease. Heart disease is the largest killer of Australians, and affects 2 out of 3 families.
