About End Apartheid & Segregation Week, International
United States and United Kingdom's International End Apartheid and Segregation Week began in 2005 and is about cutting through the propaganda and getting the facts to people. This week is about education, addressing the misconceptions, destroying the lies and seeking solutions for all those involved. It is not about destroying a state. It is about destroying a system of persecution as evil as slavery and replacing it with humanity.
The end result being the creation of a situation where all can live in harmony and for mutual benefit…as they’ve done for many centuries past. This is an inevitable conclusion. It will happen. The only question is when.

Tenth Annual Israeli Apartheid Week – #apartheidweek
UK and US: February 24-March 2
Europe: March 1-8
South Africa: March 10-16
Brazil: March 24-28
Palestine, Arab world and Asia: TBA

In 1990 two apartheid states existed in the world. Today there is only one. Then it was South Africa and Israel. Today it is just Israel. Israel has taken apartheid to an entirely new level, one that has shocked even the South Africans in its brutality and extremism. The sole reason Israel is allowed to continue as an apartheid state is due to the financial, political and military support of the United States. 40% of the US foreign aid budget goes to Israel. When that ends, the state will be forced to reconcile with its neighbors and those it has oppressed and attempted to destroy. Then apartheid will end. The state will not disappear, rather it will become the democratic nation it aspires to but has yet to be.

The issues in Israel and Palestine are political, not religious. They are not new nor ancient. The problems began in the 1860s but gained significant traction in the 1890s with the adoption of a political idea known as Zionism. At the core of Zionism is apartheid.

The occupation is about the control of natural resources, chiefly water, arable land and natural gas, all of which are plentiful in the occupied territories of the West Bank and Gaza. Its about gluttony for the preferred people and ethnic cleansing via the withholding of basic necessities including food, water and shelter of those deemed inferior. The indicator of preference is faith.

What people think Israel is, and what it is are diametrically opposed. Israel’s government has over 2200 laws that dole out rights based upon faith, which it also deems a race. These laws cover everything from who can plant flowers in their garden to the ability to simply move from one city to the next. Within the areas of its controls, entire cities and roadways are Jewish Only. If you are not Jewish or a foreigner visiting, you cannot drive on these roads, buy these house or live in these neighborhoods.

Israel is not helpless, nor has it ever been. The diaries of its founders make that very clear going back to the 1920a. Its enemies are a byproduct of its brutality, land theft, ethnic cleansing, attacks, obfuscations and failure to uphold its promises, not the chosen faith of its majority. A nuclear super power with one of the 10 largest active militaries in the world, Israel has no constitution. Its laws ensure a democratic society for its white Jewish residents only. Semitic Jews (Arab ancestry) and those of color continue to be discriminated against in education and other aspects of Israeli life. But even they have more rights and freedoms than the Christians, Muslims and Druze whom are prohibited from full participation in the society simply due to their faith.

This is apartheid, Israeli style…shrouded under a facade of faith, a faith which does not support these actions. And enforced with tanks, hellfire missiles, gunships, F-16 fighters, home demolitions, walls, terror, crop destruction, checkpoints, secret detentions, laws and the threat of nuclear weapons.

Ending it through peaceful means is the purpose of this week. Educate yourself to take part.
