About USO Warrior Week

2014 marks the first year for a new event, Warrior Week, sponsored by the USO. It occurs the same week as Memorial Day and brings together various physical, therapeutic, and recreational organizations from across the country that focus on the rehabilitation of wounded service members.

Each wounded service member and their family enjoys the opportunity to participate in various activities from adaptive water skiing and kayaking, to coastal fishing, to a horsemanship therapeutic program, and surfing. There will also be national representation from the US Sailing and US Cycling organizations!

The City of Virginia Beach and USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia, Inc. have designed this event to bring all levels of skills and interest together in one location, while creating a lasting family memory for all to enjoy!
