OSTEOPOROSIS PREVENTION MONTH, NTL. (US)
About National Osteoporosis Prevention Month
The National Osteoporosis Foundation sponsors National Osteoporosis Month each May. This is a national awareness building and fundraising initiative calling on women and men to start conversations about bone health and family history as the first step toward protecting themselves and future generations from osteoporosis.
In honor of National Osteoporosis Month, health professionals, osteoporosis educators, patients, caregivers and advocates alike are asked to join the conversation.
The Online Toolkit is below and includes downloadable materials you can use to raise awareness of osteoporosis and the importance of bone health among women and men of all ages and backgrounds.
National Osteoporosis Months also occur in Canada each November and in the United Kingdom each June. International Osteoporosis Day occurs in mid-October.
